Creative Writing Support

Through workshops and individual consultations, I support others’ creative writing. I come to this work after encountering challenges while writing my memoirs and learning how much easier it is to move forward when I share my work with others and get supportive feedback. I also enjoy reading the writing of others and appreciate it when they solicit my perspectives. My approach draws heavily on work I did to earn a Certificate in Applied Compassion from the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford University School of Medicine, and I also use a trauma-informed approach, which is backed by certification through Clinical & Support Options, Inc. My formal experience providing feedback to others on their writing-in-progress extends back to my 2018-2020 work as an Adjunct Instructor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute when I supported students as they created proposals for off-campus projects.

  • In this 90-minute virtual session, each participant brings and shares up to 3 minutes of writing that was emotionally challenging for them to produce. The group offers supportive feedback to each writer, and we close out the session with breathwork and meditation. Limited to 8 participants. Offered on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of every month, beginning at 6:30pm ET.
